Quarter to seven, and you're rummaging through loose boxes again. Those lost minutes seem harmless, but together they add up to unpaid working hours, week after week, while your customer is waiting.

Always an overview of your stock

Your stock at a glance: never buy twice again

How often do you buy something again because you can't find it? That is money thrown away every time. With pull-out drawer systems and clearly arranged trays, you can see at a glance what is in stock and what you need to reorder.

Every part gets its own compartment. No surprises on site, no extra trips to the wholesaler.

Modules for van fit-out
Everything within reach

Work upright and ergonomically: everything is at hand height

Bending, crawling and squeezing in the load area every day: you feel it in the evening, and your body keeps count. For a tradesperson, a worn-out back is not just an inconvenience but a threat to the business.

With smart holders, magnetic strips and pull-out drawers, everything is at hand height. No stooping, no squeezing: you get home fresher in the evening.

Modules for van fit-out
Made to measure for your trade

A made-to-measure fit-out that grows with your business

No two tradespeople work the same way. That is why we design your layout to measure and build it up with modular cabinets and drawers. Does your work change or is there more equipment to add? You simply expand.

Choose between sturdy steel or lighter aluminium: up to 30% less weight, so more payload. Do you drive electric? Then that also means extra range for your EV. We advise what suits your work best.

Did you know… aluminium is up to 30% lighter than steel at the same load capacity? That is payload you can use for materials.

Modules for van fit-out
Protection and a professional look

Customers see your van before they see you

Your van is your business card. A well-kept, tidy fit-out shows craftsmanship before you even ring the doorbell. A messy load area does exactly the opposite.

A professionally fitted and protected load area lasts for years and is worth more when you sell your van later.

Build it yourself or have it fitted?

Crash-tested and anchored: safety you can't knock together yourself

Many tradespeople start with home-made wooden racking. Understandable, but wood quickly weighs twice as much, splinters in a collision and slides about in every bend. In the event of damage or a dispute, you are in a weaker position with loose DIY racking than with a certified fit-out.

Our fit-out is crash-tested (ECE R17, TÜV GS) and professionally anchored in your van. Lighter than wood, so more payload and range. And when you sell, a professional fit-out is an asset, not something to tear out.

Frequently asked questions about storing tools in your van

What does it cost to store tools in your van?

Storing tools in your van costs as much as the fit-out you put together. Three things determine the price: size, material and modules.

  • Size: a large L3H3 has room for more cabinets and drawers than a compact L1H1.
  • Material: steel is the cheapest, aluminium is up to 30% lighter.
  • Modules: start with a few drawers with dividers and grow into a complete workshop on wheels.

Request your free made-to-measure quote: you will know the exact price, with no obligation.

How long does it take to install a storage system?

We install a standard fit-out quickly; a complete fit-out is usually ready within two working days. You drop your van off in the morning and drive home in the evening with it fully fitted out.

For extensive bespoke work, such as a combination with floor and wall lining or electrical provisions, you get a clear schedule in advance. That way your van is never off the road longer than necessary and you don't lose working days.

Should I choose steel or aluminium to store my tools?

Steel and aluminium both meet the required strength; the right choice depends on your priorities.

  • Steel is the choice for the keenest price and the robust classic that can take a knock.
  • Aluminium is the choice when weight matters: it is up to 30% lighter and doesn't rust. You keep more payload, and your electric van gets more range from a single charge.

Not sure? We advise you based on your van, your payload and your daily work.

Can I expand my storage system later?

Yes, every fit-out of ours is built modularly and can therefore always be expanded. If you get new tools, your team grows or your work changes, you add cabinets or drawers without replacing the existing fit-out.

That also makes the system worthwhile when you change vans: many modules simply move with you to your next vehicle.

What if something on my fit-out breaks?

Every fit-out comes with a 5-year full fit-out warranty. If something does break, we take care of the repair.

Parts also remain available for years, including for older systems. That way your fit-out stays fully usable throughout its entire lifespan.

Why choose Guntro to store tools in my van?

We combine four strengths that you rarely find together:

  • Your choice of steel and aluminium, matched to your payload.
  • Every fit-out is designed to measure for your trade.
  • The modular system grows with your business.
  • 5-year warranty on the fit-out and aftercare by Guntro.

Will a storage system fit in my van?

Yes, almost certainly. Our fit-outs fit nearly every make and model, from a compact L1H1 to a large L3H3, with the Ford Transit as the most commonly fitted classic. The layout is designed to measure for your vehicle and your work.

Not sure about your model? Browse the brands or ask Guntro: we know the dimensions of every van.

Won't I lose load space because of a fit-out?

No, quite the opposite. A smart storage system uses the walls, the height and the space under the floor, places that are wasted at the moment. That way you get up to 40% more usable load space out of the same van.

Think of floor drawers under the load floor or a roof rack for long, light materials: extra storage space without giving up interior space.

Can't I fit out my van myself with wooden racking?

You can, but it costs you more than you think. Wood often weighs twice as much as aluminium (less payload and less range for an electric van), is not crash-tested and wears out faster.

A certified fit-out (ECE R17, TÜV GS) is anchored according to the rules: safer in an emergency stop, stronger in disputes after damage, and with resale value when you sell. You also get your weekend back.
