Scratches cost you money

Every scratch in the bare metal is money off your trade-in price

Three years of loading and unloading materials, and the load space of your van looks like a battlefield. On trade-in, the buyer counts every dent and every rust spot.

Floor and wall lining for your van absorbs that wear before it reaches your bodywork. That way your load space stays protected and your van stays worth its money, trip after trip.

Did you know… the lining takes the knocks instead of your bodywork? An undamaged load space makes a direct difference to the price on trade-in.

A floor that can take your work

12 mm marine plywood with anti-slip phenolic coating

Wet boots, sliding machines, dripping plant trays: your load floor takes a beating every day.

Our floor is made of 12 mm birch marine plywood, treated with phenolic resin that keeps moisture out and with an anti-slip friction coefficient that is TÜV-certified. Scratch-resistant, ultralight and neatly finished with flexible aluminium joints and rounded edge protectors as standard. Prefer something different? There is also a 9 mm wooden floor, and safety variants such as SAFETY FLOOR and SAFETY CROSS with built-in Airline lashing points that let you secure your load directly to the floor.

Did you know… the floor sections are connected with flexible aluminium joints? That keeps your floor lying flat, even when your bodywork flexes.

Walls that can take a knock

Walls that absorb the knocks, not your bodywork

One ladder that falls over or a cart that rolls too far, and the dent is in your side wall for good. Visible from the outside, and virtually impossible to repair.

The 4 mm polypropylene honeycomb wall panels are ultralight, surprisingly strong, washable and fully recyclable. They are not fixed rigidly to your bodywork but move with your vehicle, so they absorb thermal expansion. Need more? Choose the anodised aluminium chequer plate with square perforations, immediately a tool wall for your accessories, or go for plywood or perforated steel window guards. That low weight counts double: if you drive electric, you keep more range left for your EV. The wheel arch itself is left uncovered: you cover that with wheel arch protection.

Did you know… the wall panels are barely 4 mm thick? The honeycomb structure makes them ultralight and strong, without taking up any load space.

Loose mat or fixed protection?

A loose rubber mat does not protect your load space

A loose mat looks like a cheap solution, until you lift it. It slides under your load, does not cover walls and wheel arches and absorbs no sideways knocks at all.

Our lining is punched and laser-cut to fit and fully covers floor, walls and wheel arches. Everything is fixed, nothing slides, and your load floor stays perfectly flat as a base for floor drawers and the rest of your fit-out.

Did you know… the lining is punched and laser-cut to fit your vehicle? Right down to the wheel arches, every cut-out is right.

Frequently asked questions about floor and wall lining for your van

What does floor and wall lining for your van cost?

The price of floor and wall lining for your van depends on three factors: the size of your vehicle, the choice of material and what you have lined.

  • Vehicle: an L1H1 needs less material than an L3H3.
  • Material: from honeycomb panels to aluminium chequer plate.
  • Extent: just the floor, or also walls, doors and wheel arches.

That is why we work with a made-to-measure quote: that way you know exactly where you stand, with no obligation and no duty to buy.

What materials does Guntro use for floor and walls?

The standard floor is 12 mm marine plywood with an anti-slip phenolic coating; as an alternative there is a 9 mm wooden floor, and there are safety variants: SAFETY FLOOR with built-in Airline lashing points and SAFETY CROSS with lashing points in both the length and the width. The standard walls are 4 mm polypropylene honeycomb panels.

If you want more protection, choose the aluminium version: a chequer plate floor with anti-slip five-almond pattern on a birch base panel, and wall panels with square perforations that immediately serve as a tool wall. Plywood or perforated steel window guards are also possible.

Will the lining fit my van?

Yes. The panels are punched and laser-cut to fit your make and model, from a compact L1H1 to a large L3H3, right down to the cut-outs for wheel arches and fixing points.

Not sure about your model? See the brands or ask Guntro.

How much does the lining weigh?

Our lining is deliberately light: the floor is ultralight marine plywood and the honeycomb wall panels are barely 4 mm thick. The exact weight depends on your vehicle and choice of material, and we calculate it in your quote.

If you drive electric, every kilo saved counts: a light lining costs you hardly any range.

Is the floor anti-slip?

Yes. The phenolic coating on the standard floor is anti-slip, so your load and your own feet keep their grip, even with wet soles.

The aluminium floor also grips firmly thanks to the five-almond pattern in the chequer plate. If you also want more hold for your load, choose a safety variant such as SAFETY FLOOR: it builds Airline lashing points directly into your floor.

How long does it take to install floor and wall lining?

We plan a standard fitting shortly after delivery, so your van isn't off the road for longer than necessary; a complete fit-out is usually ready within two working days.

If you combine the lining with a complete fit-out, you get a clear schedule in advance. That way you lose no working days.

Can I combine the lining with floor drawers and a fit-out?

Yes, the lining is in fact the ideal base. On a flat, lined floor we fit floor drawers, cabinets and racking neatly and firmly.

Guntro plans lining and fit-out together, so everything is fitted in one go.

Does lining really protect my resale value?

Yes: the lining absorbs the scratches, dents and damp that would otherwise end up directly in your bodywork, and that is exactly the damage that weighs on the price when you trade in or sell.

A van with an undamaged load space sells more easily and for more. That way the lining pays for itself in the end.

Can I see the lining in real life first?

Yes, and we recommend it: you see and feel the difference between bare metal and a lined load space straight away.

Isn’t a loose rubber mat a cheaper alternative?

In the short term, yes, but a loose mat slides under your load, does not cover walls and wheel arches and traps damp on the panel underneath. Your bodywork just keeps wearing.

Our lining is fixed in place, covers the whole load space and is made to measure for your vehicle. You earn the price difference back when you sell your van.
