The bulkhead solution is one of our newest products, developed to offer you ever more useful and innovative interior linings. It is ideal as a panel for mounting tools on. With this solution for vans you make full use of the load space, an area that is normally used only for getting in and out of the vehicle.

Our fit-out has always had one priority: making the best possible use of the space in the vehicle. Our bulkhead solution not only protects the bodywork of the partition between the load space and the cab, but also makes the area behind the cab, which normally goes unused, useful by carrying equipment and tools in a tidy and safe way. You can safely secure ladders, loading ramps, jerrycans, sack trucks and shelving without taking up useful space. In the lashing eyes in the panels you attach van hooks, document holders, cable brackets, jerrycan holders or other accessories from our range. The optional fold-down workbench, tucked away at the bottom of the bulkhead system, gives you an ideal work surface at any moment, with a load capacity of 150 kg and holes for mounting vices and other equipment.

The bulkhead system, available with perforated steel or wooden panels, does more than protect the partition: the horizontal beams, combined with steel “Airline” lashing points and ribbed steel side reinforcements, make the partition sturdier and also provide numerous attachment points. Thanks to these components, the bulkhead system is a lot more effective than an ordinary interior lining.

Thanks to the horizontal steel beams with “Airline” lashing points you secure the load with straps and load bars. If you do not secure your equipment, it can slide around in the vehicle during transport and hit the side panels or the partition behind the cab.

Our impact-resistant bulkhead systems are modular and can be extended with accessories. Depending on the width (and height) you want, you have several options: smooth panels of laminated beech or perforated panels of coated steel. Bulkhead systems with a length of 1,016 mm and 1,524 mm can be fitted with a fold-down workbench.

Besides the perforated panels for mounting tools, you can also have the bulkhead system fitted with a fold-down workbench with a perforated wooden top and metal legs. The workbench is built into the bulkhead system, in the unused space between the partition itself and the wall behind the cab. You take it out and carry it with you quickly and easily, including outdoors. Thanks to its exceptionally stable structure it has a load capacity of 150 kg, so you can carry out work and/or repairs with ease. In the holes in the worktop you attach vices and other tools: a genuine professional fold-down workbench!

What does it cost to shield the cab in your van?
The price of a bulkhead depends on three factors: the size of your van, your choice of material and the configuration.
- Size: a bulkhead for a compact L1H1 needs less material than one for a large L3H3.
- Material: steel is the cheapest option, aluminium is up to 30% lighter.
- Configuration: a standalone bulkhead or a combination with cabinets, drawers and load securing.

How long does it take to fit a bulkhead?
We fit a standard fit-out smoothly. A complete turnkey fit-out is usually ready within two working days. You drop your van off in the morning and drive home that evening with the cab fully shielded.
If you combine the bulkhead with a complete fit-out, you will receive a clear schedule in advance. That way your van is never off the road longer than necessary and you lose no working days.
Should I choose a steel or aluminium bulkhead?
A steel or aluminium bulkhead protects your cab equally well. The difference lies in price and weight.
- Steel: the most affordable and most robust choice.
- Aluminium: up to 30% lighter and rustproof, so more payload and extra range for electric models such as the Citroën ë-Jumpy.

Can I combine my bulkhead with a complete fit-out later?
Yes, every part of our fit-out is built modularly. A bulkhead is often the first step: later you can add cabinets and drawers, load securing or floor and wall lining without replacing anything.
That way your fit-out grows with your business, at your pace and within your budget.
What if something on my bulkhead breaks?
If something on your bulkhead breaks, we take care of the repair. In addition, every Guntro bulkhead is covered by a 5-year warranty on the complete fit-out.
