Secure your van
Finding a broken-open rear door one morning? A second lock with its own cylinder keeps your load area closed and your week on schedule.
View solution →Security locks for your van come from UFO Locks, a brand of Serrature Meroni that has been making locks since 1945. They work independently of your van’s central locking, with their own cylinder and a housing in hardened steel.
A lock that doesn’t fit your working day is a lock you stop using after two weeks. If you make twenty deliveries a day, you don’t turn a key. If you only stop twice, you do want to lock up deliberately.
That is why security locks for your van come in three families. The slamlock locks by itself when you slam the door shut. The deadlock is locked with the key. The hybrid can do both, so you choose per trip.
Did you know a slamlock also locks while you quickly go to fetch something? That is precisely the moment when break-ins happen most often.
One bolt is one place to pull at. On a door two metres high, the weakness is not in the lock but in the space above and below it, where nothing holds it back.
The Triton works with an internal mechanism that locks up to three points at once, spread over the height of the door. It locks automatically and opens with the key. Inside there is an emergency release. From the outside your van keeps its sleek look: the housing is only ten millimetres thick.
Did you know the Triton also fits tool chests and roof boxes? The same lock, the same key.
A colleague has to collect materials while you are on site. Then you drive back, or you leave your key somewhere you would rather not.
The smart version works via an app, with four levels of access rights. You send someone a virtual key and decide how long it stays valid. For one van, and just as well for a fleet.
Did you know you can hand over a key that expires by itself? Handy for a temp or for a delivery you are not present for.
Every van of your model has the same locking. Anyone who knows where it is weak knows it everywhere. And your central locking does all the doors with one mechanism: one weak point is enough to get in.
A security lock is completely separate from that. It has its own cylinder with 15 pins and 100,000 combinations, with anti-drill protection. The flat key can’t be copied by the locksmith around the corner. Also read how to secure your van.
Did you know the housing is hardened steel 52-52 HRC, with a Rilsan coating? Hard enough to make a drill slip off.
We supply the full UFO range and help you choose which version suits your working day and your van.

The locks are designed to be universal and fit virtually any light commercial vehicle. What differs per make and model is the drill template that determines where the holes go. We check that before you decide.
A slamlock locks automatically as soon as you slam the door shut. A deadlock you lock deliberately with the key. If you are in and out all day, a slamlock is almost always the better choice; you can’t forget it.
With most versions, yes. The fixing goes through the bodywork, so that the force in a break-in attempt falls on the door and not on the lock. That is done with a drill template that is fixed per make and model, not by eye. If drilling is not allowed, there is the UFO Temporary: it goes on the door without holes, locks manually and has one locking point.
Yes. The locks are made for rear doors and for the side sliding door. The latter is often forgotten, even though it sits at the kerb and out of sight.
The cylinder is separate from your van key and has its own flat key in nickel silver alloy. If you lose it, Guntro replaces the cylinder. Keep a spare key ready, and not in the van.
With UFO Cloud, yes. You send a virtual key via the app and decide how long it stays valid, with four levels of access rights. That way no key has to be passed around.
Yes. The Triton has an internal emergency release, and the other versions have an emergency cable. That is not optional, it comes with the lock.
The lock itself takes 25 to 40 minutes, depending on the version and the number of locking points. Plan it together with the rest of your fit-out, and your van is only off the road once.
